Get StartedNow more than ever, we need to address Hawaiʻi’s justice system. It seems that criminals are becoming more brazen as the punishment they receive amounts to a slap on the wrist. Police presence needs to be stronger in areas that have been neglected for too long. Inmates in prison need better options than crime in order to live in our society. The root causes of crime often have to do with poverty, a lack of access to mental health and/or substance abuse treatment. Together, we can take our community back. Learn more

It is imperative that we make it easier for locals to create a business and thrive here at home and incentivize a younger generation to become farmers and reduce the barriers to entry for small businesses and farms. Our future generation need to look beyond tourism for high paying jobs so that they can thrive in Hawaiʻi. Learn more
The cost of homes, goods, and services in Hawaiʻi continues to spiral out of control with no hope in sight. My fear is that our children and our future generations will be forced to leave our homes for better opportunities abroad. There has been a housing shortage in our state for over 100 years, and it’s time to collect what is due from non-resident and foreign real estate investors to start. Transportation costs continue to be an issue with rising fuel costs and a new mileage-based tax on the horizon, unfairly targeting Central Oʻahu and North Shore residents who commute to work town for work. Quality education and job training would help increase our earning potential and combat the rising costs of living in Hawaiʻi. Learn more

Food security, affordability, and sustainability are top priorities, and using precious farmlands for anything other than growing crops we can eat will only hurt locals in the event of a disaster that prevents food from being imported into the state. Furthermore, as the Red Hill Crisis highlighted, we need to protect our drinking water and other water resources. Cesspools in the district continue to pose a threat to our health and recreational waters. The fuel we put in our cars is derived from oil we import from Russia and Libya, and although we have stopped taking oil from Russia since the Ukraine invasion, our oil and fuel security are unstable. Homeless and Houselessness is a crisis that has gone on for far too long. It is our kuleana to take better care of everyone in our society, which means committing to a long-term plan and appropriate funding for successful programs. The “homeless sweeps” is not a viable solution as they are merely pushed out from one community and into another. Learn more
