Get StartedIf elected Nada would support the quest to defund police across Wisconsin, including the MPD. Defunding the massive police budget and distributing those funds to more effective and pertinent services would create safer communities. Learn more
Funds that would be allocated to the police departments should instead be distributed to social programs in our community. Defunding the police departments will be achieved by greatly diminishing the number of officers at each precinct, and instead be used to pay for services and alternate policing. Learn more
Our teachers help raise our children and they deserve to be paid a livable wage. Teachers should not need to spend their own money for classroom supplies and should not have to switch careers because of inadequate pay. Guaranteeing livable wages for our teachers guarantees that our children receive the best possible instruction and addresses the worrying shortage of teachers across Wisconsin. Learn more
In order to close these achievement gaps, our state legislature must reverse its cuts on K-12 and Higher Education funding and invest in the future of Wisconsin. Nada supports fully funding 4K programs across the state and increasing special education reimbursements for public schools. We need to fund our schools in order for our state to thrive. Learn more
Finally, if we are going to ask the private sector to eliminate carbon emissions, then the public sector must lead the way. Nada will call on the public sector, including the UW-System, to divest completely from fossil fuels and become carbon free by 2027. By mobilizing government resources and achieving this monumental task, we can set the standard for the rest of Wisconsin to follow. In order to create the necessary policies, Nada will create research grants for public universities to develop carbon free frameworks for different parts of the public and private sector. Learn more
We need targeted investments into marginalized communities paired with strict regulation of the unchecked systems which have gotten us to this point of utter self-destruction. The first step is winning back political power for the working class, which Nada intends to do throughout this campaign and as State Senator. Learn more
Nada will work to restore urgency and declare a State of Emergency on the Climate Crisis. Learn more
We must guarantee healthcare as a human right. Nada will fight for BadgerCare for All, Medicaid expansion, reproductive choice, and more. Learn more
Increased development of affordable housing units in amenity rich areas. Learn more
Stronger protections for tenants: laws prohibiting discrimination based on a prospective renter’s source of income, laws that limit evictions without just cause, laws prohibiting discrimination against homeless people in rental housing, laws that guarantee a right to counsel in housing cases. Learn more
Nada believes a Wisconsin without homelessness is possible. Every Wisconsinite has a right to affordable and secure housing. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the economic toll it has brought on this state, Nada demands cancellation of rent and a moratorium on mortgage payments to ensure Wisconsinites remain housed, avoid foreclosure, and eviction.
