I support the expansion of subsidized summer educational programs in order to ease the financial burden on low income parents during the summer months. Education and students should be our number one priority. Learn more
We can all agree the need to continually keep our environment healthy; we need to all strive to be more of a steward, beginning with the air we breathe. Learn more
We need to fund these areas from providing strong support for children prior to their attending schools, to assuring our teachers are well trained and well respected, to developing and providing world-class coherent instructional systems set to global standards so our children have the opportunity to compete in a global market. We also need to look into how and what we teach – things have changed and educating our children needs to change with it. Maryland has led the way in the past with regard to our statewide public education system, and we must rededicate ourselves to that task. Learn more

We all know eating right, exercising and socializing with others help to maintain one’s health, both physically and emotionally, however, with the obesity rate we see in Maryland and specifically in our own counties, daily health habits need to be addressed. Learn more
