Implementation of a Jail Transitional Care Coordinator - providing services to inmates upon their release to follow up on their care and liaison for other services. The goal is to prevent inmates from reoffending by helping former inmates get the care needed and/or direct them to the appropriate services. The less people who reoffend and stay out of jail, the safer the community will be and the less it will cost the taxpayer. . Learn more

As the scope of law enforcement responsibilities continues to increase, the need for more training and education requires a higher level.  It is essential that the Office of Sheriff invests in additional training and education for each employee.  It is also imperative that the Office of Sheriff place value on educational achievements and socialization skills with its hiring practices of new employees.  In order for law enforcement to be effective in an ever-changing world, training must continue throughout an employee’s career. Taxes / Budget

As your next Sheriff, It is my responsibility to maintain strict oversight of the annual budget of the Office of Sheriff and reduce or eliminate any unnecessary spending. It is important to be good stewards of taxpayer money, and I will work diligently to look for new ways to incorporate and leverage available technology to ensure public safety, accountability, and transparency.
