Warwick has had a nationally accredited police department since 1997 and has adopted the “8 Can’t Wait” standards that were developed after protests in Ferguson, Missouri over the police shooting of Michael Brown. Steve knows Warwick can be a model for the success of community-based policing and he will work with our Congressional delegation to restore strong federal oversight of broken departments with a consistent record of racial profiling and other discriminatory practices.
