Get StartedI am the mother of four. I know what it feels like to carry life and I know what it is like to lose that life during pregnancy. Life is the first right that any of us have and therefore the government does have a responsibility to ensure that a child's right to life is not denied them. I believe in fostering a Commonwealth where both the mother and the child are met with compassion and support. Learn more
The Government should focus on protecting our freedoms, property rights and ensuring that people are free to pursue their goals. When government moves beyond its constitutional authority to act, it violates its contract with the people that formed it. Learn more
The focus of our criminal justice system should be to protect the innocent and ensure that those who have been convicted of a crime understand that their primary responsibility is to make restitution to their victims. Incarceration should largely be reserved for violent criminals. Learn more
One of the most important responsibilities of government is to protect the liberty and safety of its citizens. We need to support our law enforcement men and women by both ensuring that they are properly compensated and that we do not burden them with excessive laws which put both them and our citizens in danger. The free market is nothing more than people finding ways to solve problems through voluntary exchange. The more the Government interferes in the process, the more opportunity for corruption. It has always been those nations with the freest economies that have ensured that everyone can have a chance to fulfill their dreams. Learn more
Quality education is essential to our society and economy. Unfortunately, special interests largely control our current education system and force students into failing schools under the guise of "supporting public education". I support a system which gives parents more control over their children's educational choices and teachers more control over the classroom. We should not be trying to micromanage education from Richmond. Learn more
The Second Amendment recognizes each individual’s basic human right to protect themselves and their families against those who would harm them. I have an interesting perspective on this subject because I believe women especially benefit from the second amendment as it empowers us to be able to defend ourselves against a stronger attacker. The American economy has proven that it can achieve incredible things when it is not hindered by taxes, regulations, and bureaucracy that prevents it from succeeding. The same could be true of our healthcare economy if only we would remove the many government barriers and manipulations that have prevented it from flourishing. The key to affordability and accessibility is not handing more power to politicians and lobbyists, but to remove the barriers that are currently preventing health care professionals from being able to provide services. The first thing that we have to acknowledge about the Opioid Crisis is the Governments complicity in it. For too long, government micro-management of the healthcare system has placed a great deal of emphasis on over-medicating our citizens. We now have a situation where many people have become addicted to legal painkillers, only to switch to something else when their prescriptions run out. We need to stop viewing drug addicts as criminals and instead treat them for their addiction. This is best accomplished by coming alongside community-based organizations, instead of trying to manage the process through the criminal justice system. Learn more
I do not support the current tolls on route I-81 scheme. I believe transportation dollars are spent far more wisely with local input. I-81 is in the trouble it currently is because taxpayers were promised that if they just paid more in taxes, it would be fixed. Instead, the money gets siphoned off to other expenditures and I-81 has become increasingly dangerous. We need to develop a solution that respects that taxpayers have already paid for existing roads and ensure that any future expenditures be legally assigned to road improvement and expansion projects with no avenue for it to be used on other projects. The purpose of taxation should be to equitably raise those funds which are necessary for legitimate functions of government. Our current tax system punishes people for productivity and treats tax payers with arrogance and disrespect. Learn more
