We must do one of two things: increase revenue or decrease spending. Finding inefficiency is part of the equation however there is a point where reducing operational expenses within federal agencies becomes a deficiency in services to you. This is a delicate balance which requires experience to understand. Reducing unnecessary spending is another form of balancing our budget. Identifying these reductions are important however reducing unnecessary spending takes time to implement since programs and agencies would have to adjust.
