The Board establishes policies to administrate and manage schools within the district, and acts as a legislative body to determine policies. The Board also may occasionally act as a judicial body to hear complaints and appeals of admirative decisions within the district. In addition, the school board governs the calendar of school events, adopts the annual budget, determines the employee salary schedule, considers reports from the Superintendent on school progress, and adopts plans for structural improvements.
